e-Business visa – the visa is specially designed for business travelers attending meetings, conferences, or discovering business opportunities in India.

  • Validity options: 1 year from the date of issue
  • Entries: Multiple
  • Maximum stay: 180 days
  • Entry points: 28 specified airports and 5 seaports.
  • Activities allowed: attending business meetings, conferences, business establishment, conducting business-related tours, recruitment of manpower, participating in exhibitions and trade fairs.
  • Requirements: business card, letter from your employer, and an invitation letter from an Indian company.

e-Medical visa – for international patients seeking medical treatment at reputed hospitals and medical facilities in India. It requires a letter from the hospital in India confirming treatment/appointment and documents supporting the treatment 
requirement.

  • Validity: 60 days from the date of issue
  • Entries: Triple entry
  • Maximum stay: 60 days
  • Entry points: 28 specified airports and 5 seaports.
  •  Attendants allowed: Up to 2 medical attendants can accompany the patient.
  • Requirements: Letter from a recognised Indian hospital, medical records, attendant’s application ID, relationship proof, and financial proof.

e-Conference visa – for delegates, speakers, and participants attending conferences, seminars, or workshops organised in India. This would require an official invitation letter from the organisation in India, along with event details and proof of registration.

  • Validity: 120 days from the date of issue
  • Entries: Single entry
  • Maximum stay: 30 days
  • Entry points: 28 specified airports and 5 seaports.
  • Attendants allowed: Up to 2 medical attendants can accompany the patient.
  • Requirements: Official invitation letter, conference registration confirmation, and event brochure or agenda.

Eligibility Criteria –

Not everyone can apply for an India e-Visa. So, here’s the eligibility criteria that you must know before applying:

Nationality requirements: Citizens from over 160 countries are eligible to apply for an India e-Visa. These are the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, European countries, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and more.

Countries not eligible for e-Visa: Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Nigeria, Somalia, Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

Passport requirement: the passport must meet specific criteria, like validity for 6 months from the day of arrival in India, a regular passport, 2 blank pages for immigration stamps, and a redeemable biographical page without damage.
e-Visa requirements
