About Khajjiar & Dalhousie:

Dalhousie is a hill station with centuries of colonization history, the town was named after Lord Dharamshala, the British Governor – General of India. Sprawling over five hills, Dalhousie is known for dense forests, Victorian homes and spectacular views of the Dhauladhar peaks.

Khajjiar is a beautiful meadow just a short drive away, also known as the “Mini Switzerland” due to the uncanny resemblance it has to the Swiss landscape. It’s a kind of paradise with its serene lake and wide green pastures ringed by dense deodar and pine forests.

Itinerary Details:

Day 1: Arrival & Check-in

Travellers will have a private luxury car waiting to drop you at your own villa when you reach Dalhousie. A superior villa offers a secluded and personalized experience. Day 2: Dalhousie Colonial Charm

Today, your private guide and cab will be waiting to show you around Dalhousie’s historic landmarks and picturesque landscapes after a leisurely breakfast at your villa. The tour begins at the town’s most iconic churches.

Start with St. Francis Church, a stunning 19th century stone church with traditional European architecture. It is a tranquil spot for reflection because of its calm ambience and verdant surroundings. The oldest church in Dalhousie, St. John’s Church will be your next stop. It’s a must-see attraction because of its serene surroundings and historical significance. The tour continues to the popular Subhash Baoli, a perennial spring named after Subhas Chandra Bose, a freedom fighter who often visited this spot.

Then you’ll be taken to Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, a dense forest inhabited by a variety of plants and animals. Experience the crisp mountain air and feel connected with nature. Day 3: Khajjiar & Chamba Valley tour

Today’s highlight is the stunning Khajjiar, which is roughly 24 kms away. Once you arrive here, you will get to know why this place is nicknamed “Mini Switzerland.” A wonder to behold is the vast, saucer-shaped meadow having a peaceful lake in the center and dense deodar forests. Spend a lot of time relaxing with a picnic ready at your villa or simply relax on the grassy terrains.

Get ready to visit the medieval Khajji Nag Temple is dedicated to the Snake God, located on the shores of the lake. The temple’s unique structure and religious importance make it all the more attractive. Get escorted on a tour of the Chamba Valley. Ancient temples, including the Laxmi Narayan Temple Complex, are the town’s chief attraction.

The town presents a glimpse into the cultural heritage of the region with its rich history, beautiful paintings and unique architecture. The day further concludes with a scenic drive back to the luxury villa, for a relaxing and indulgent meal.

Day 4: Departure

You will be free today for a while after enjoying a final breakfast at your villa. A luxury car will be dropped off at the railway station or airport for your onward journey.
