Day 1: Manali Arrival & Rest

After an overnight journey from Delhi to Manali, meet our tour representative and be escorted to the pre-booked hotel for relaxation. We’ll have a quick tour briefing session with the guide this evening. We recommend getting a good night’s sleep because your body will need it for the long journey ahead. Stay overnight in Manali.

Day 2: Manali to Kaza via Atal Tunnel and Kunzum Pass

Today, we’ll proceed to Spiti Valley, which takes around 7 to 8 hours. So, we’ll depart early in the morning. Around 9 kms from 10,000 feet, the Atal Tunnel is the world’s longest. We’ll travel to Chatru, passing through some of the most spectacular waterfalls. We make frequent stops so you can witness the surroundings, observe the beautiful scenery and breathe in the fresh air. As you reach Spiti Valley, we’ll head to Kunzum Pass, where you’ll stop to pay respect to the Kunzum Goddess. Stay overnight comfortably.

Day 3: Kaza to Key Monastery, Kibber and return

Begin the day with a delicious breakfast. Later, we’ll travel to Kye Monastery, the learning center of the Spiti Valley. It lies on a tiny hill offering a panoramic view of the valley. Next, head to Khibber Valley, the world’s highest motorable settlement before Komic took it over. It is renowned for spotting snow leopards. Visit the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary during the summer season and spot snow leopards, red foxes, and Siberian ibex live in the highlands of this place. Return to Kaza for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Kaza to Langza by car, trek from Langza to Komic

Today, pack your bags and leave for the trek in Spiti Valley. The taxis will take you to Langza, where we’ll spend leisure hours before starting the trip. Spend some time exploring the nearby areas and admire the Buddha statue’s beautiful scenery.

Langza Valley’s landscape was earlier under the Tethys Sea and is rich in fossils. Begin the Spiti trek to Komic, the highest motorable road, with a short halt at Hikkim, the world’s highest post office. The Komic village is in the magnificent Spiti Valley, known for being one of the world’s highest settlements. Visit the Tangyud Monastery, a relatively poor monastery that was said to have been founded in the 14th century. Take rest overnight.

Day 5: Komic Village to Demul Village Trek

Enjoy the dawn at Komic village, and begin a trek to Demul village this morning. The walk will start with an ascent to 4700 meters, where you’ll reach the highest point of the hike and then will be flat till we reach Demul village. The day trek will be challenging and exhausting, but it will be rewarding. Stay overnight comfortably. 

Day 6: Demul Village to Lahlung Village Trek

After an excellent breakfast, we’ll begin later at Demul village and explore Lahlung Village through the farmlands of Demuland Rama villages. On this day, the trek will be short. Then, we'll explore the Sherkhang monastery and listen to a monk tell us about the monastery’s mythology. We'll stay overnight.

Day 7: Lahlung village to Kaza via Dhankar Village, Tabo and Pink Valley

Your trip will begin early in the morning, and we’ll drive to Kaza via Dhankar, Tabo, and Pin Valley. Dhankar and Tabo are both famous for their monasteries. The Dhankar monastery is a 1,000-year-old fortress perched on a rock overlooking the Spiti Pin River confluence. Only a few other monuments can stand in comparison to Dhankar in terms of beauty. Enjoy a cup of tea while seeing the monastery as you visit this monastery. Murals, wall paintings and thankas will take you to another era. Before driving to Kaza for the overnight stay, you’ll make a stop at Mudh settlement.

Day 8: Kaza to Chandrataal Lake via Lohsar and Kunzum Pass

After breakfast, we’ll head towards Chandrataal Lake. This is another spot where it will be challenging to put your camera down. This lake is a landscape photographer’s dream come true, changing its appearance virtually every hour and each time. We’ll camp in true adventure tonight, with great dome tents to keep you warm and safe. Stay overnight in your camp.

Day 9: Chandratal Lake to Manali Departure

Your tour concludes with an early start on the last day. After a healthy breakfast, we continue our road trip to Manali. We’ll stop in Batal to bid adieu to Spiti Valley. The tour ends here.
