Essential travel tips for this tour:
Comfortable walking shoes – You may be exploring on a royal tour, but you will be walking a lot on this tour. Non-slip soles of your shoes will be necessary to walk Shimla’s inclines.
Layers are important – Even during the summer season, the nights can be quite chilly. It is best to carry a light jacket. Winter, that is December to February, calls for heavy woollens and thermals.
Respect wildlife – In Kufri and Jakhu, be careful with your belongings like glasses, phones, and eatables, as there are native mischievous monkeys.
Permits & Timings – The Viceregal Lodge remains closed on Mondays, so day 3 can be planned accordingly.
