Essential tips for luxury travellers in Himachal:
It’s been observed that the best hotels of Himachal are fully occupied almost 2 to 3 months before the summer and winter seasons of May/June and December, respectively.
Even when travelling in style, you may find that the altitude influences your personal health. To drink and if feeling dizzy, ask the hotel for Oxygen cylinders, a resort always has.
Though the mountains have a casual atmosphere, there are restaurants in heritage hotels that demand “smart casual” attire for dinner.
The Atal Tunnel rule is that “the snow may suddenly close the tunnel.” It is always important to negotiate a “Plan B” with your driver.
