Road Trip Details:

Day 1: Delhi to Manali

From Delhi to Manali, the journey begins with an overnight bus or private car transfer. It is a long day of travel and a significant number of miles are travelled through the foothills of the Himalayas. Scenes of stunning scenery as it moves from plains to mountains can be witnessed on the way. Stay overnight at Manali.

Day 2: Manali Sightseeing

The day is planned for a casual sightseeing of Manali. Some of the popular sightseeing places are Old Manali, Vashisht Hot Springs and Hadimba Devi Temple. Acclimatization at the higher elevation and readiness for the challenging journey that lies ahead is facilitated through this day. Take rest for the remaining day.

Day 3: Manali to Sarchu

The journey goes through the risky Leh – Manali highway in the Ladakh direction. The road leads to the high altitude passes like Rohtang La and Baralacha La. The landscape lies at an elevation increases to dry, rocky features. Stay overnight in Sarchu which is a high-altitude plain with limited camping arrangements.

Day 4: Sarchu to Leh

More high-altitude passes like Tanglang La, one of the world’s highest motorable passes are covered during the trip to Leh. There are extensive plains and magnificent mountains with the landscape becoming more and more spectacular. Arrive in the capital of Ladakh, Leh, where night-stay accommodation is planned.

Day 5: Leh to Nubra Valley

The group passes over the renowned Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable pass while proceeding to the Nubra Valley. Sand Dunes, double-humped Bactrian camels and ancient monasteries like Diskit Monastery are some of the major attractions of this valley. Overnight in the Nubra Valley.

Day 6: Turtuk Day Excursion

The day is planned for a Turtuk Day tour, a village along the Line of Control. Turtuk, offers information on Balti history and culture. In contrast to the rest of Ladakh, the landscapes are vastly different. Return to Nubra Valley and spend the night there.

Day 7: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok

The journey proceeds to Pangong Tso, a stunning lake of high altitude with enchanting blue waters. The route provides awesome scenery of the surrounding mountains while passing through the scenic Shyok Valley. Stay overnight in Pangong Tso.

Day 8: Pangong Tso to Leh

The day is well-spent to admire the beauty of Pangong Tso. The journey will take you back to Leh through the same route, giving you a different perspective of the landscape. Stay overnight in Leh.

Day 9: Leh to Kargil via Lamayaru

Today the group will pass through the ancient Lamayuru Monastery while heading to Kargil. The place is renowned for its moon-like landscape. Scenic views of the surrounding mountains and Indus River.

Day 10: Kargil to Srinagar

The group travel will proceed towards Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, for the final departure to your hometown. The route passes through Kashmir’s lush valleys and the scenic Zoji La ascent. Stay overnight in Srinagar.

Day 11: Srinagar Airport Drop

On the last day of this tour, you will conclude the trip and depart back to your hometown from Srinagar. The tour ends here with lots of road trip experiences and memories.
