Our Chardham Group Tour Package for 12 days is the ultimate spiritual experience for any Hindu devotee, witnessing in splendour the four most sacred pilgrimage sites located in Uttarakhand’s Dev Bhoomi or Land of the Gods, Garhwal Himalayas. This 11 Nights 12 Days package is planned to handle great distances and difficult elevations, ensuring that each pilgrim seeks the blessing of the gods in the customary way. This 12 days tour is carried out clockwise, starting from Yamunotri (Goddess Yamuna), Gangotri (Goddess Ganga), Kedarnath (Lord Shiva), and Badrinath (Lord Vishnu). The holy route is followed exactly by this package. The tour describes the logistics of the circuit, and looks in detail at major experiences associated with each of the four major temples that constitute the Yatra to fulfil the necessary duration and gives a comprehensive explanation.
Day 1: Delhi to Haridwar
The tour begins with the transfer from the bustling metropolis of Delhi to the serene spiritual setting of Haridwar, also known as the “Gateway to God.” It usually includes the evening visit to witness the enthralling Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri, marking the official spiritual beginning of Yatra.
Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot
The road trip to the mountains is long and beautiful, and Barkot, a strategically placed base town in the Yamunotri valley, utilised for acclimatization before the climb.
Day 3: Barkot - Yamunotri – Barkot
Enjoy a drive to Janki Chatti and then trek around 5 to 6 kms (or pony/palki ride) to Yamunotri Temple, the source of the Yamuna River. The shrine is devoted to the Goddess Yamuna. Later return to Barkot is after Darshan and a dip in the nearby hot springs.
Day 4: Barkot – Uttarkashi
The main base town for the Gangotri pilgrimage tour is Uttarkashi. It requires a comparatively quick journey. The historic Kashi Vishwanath Temple lies in this town, commonly referred to as Shiv Kashi.
Day 5: Uttarkashi - Gangotri – Uttarkashi
It’s a high-altitude trip to Gangotri Temple, the Ganga River’s source. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga, believed to have descended on Earth from this place. The tour returns to Uttarkashi for the night after Darshan and a glimpse of the Bhagirathi River, the source stream of the Ganga.
Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
A long day of travel from the Valley of the Bhagirathi River to the valley of the Mandakini River. Owing to its better facilities and lower altitude than Gaurikund, Guptkashi or the “Hidden Kashi” the perfect and required staging location for the Kedarnath hike.
Day 7: Guptkashi – Kedarnath
After reaching Gaurikund, take the gruelling 18 kms hike to Kedarnath temple is one of the 12 hallowed Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva or take options like helicopter or horseback. We spend the evening in the vicinity of the temple complex.
Day 8: Kedarnath – Guptkashi
This morning, embark on a darshan of Kedarnath Temple. Descend back to Gaurikund, and then return to Guptkashi.
Day 9: Guptkashi to Badrinath
This is a tiring and long journey. Climb to Badrinath, and one reaches an elevation of around 3,300 meters. Devotees proceed for Darshan at the Badrinath Temple, Lord Vishnu/Badrinarayan, after taking a plunge in the holy Tapt Kund (hot water spring).
Day 10: Badrinath - Joshimath – Rudraprayag
The trek begins with a lengthy descent back to the plains. Before heading down, the group frequently stops at Mana Village, the final Indian village. Before spending the night, take a major stop at Joshimath, the winter attraction of Badrinath. Take a break from the last long distance and see the sacred meeting of the Alaknanda and Mandakini Rivers.
Day 11: Rudraprayag to Rishikesh
Reaching the pilgrimage and yoga hub of Rishikesh after the last downhill journey from the main mountains. Devotees can spend the evening taking in the ghats and the lively atmosphere of Laxman Jhula.
Day 12: Rishikesh to Delhi
The last journey back to the nation’s capital completes this arduous and reverenced 12 days route of Chardham Yatra.
