Overview
Chardham Yatra Tour Package from Hyderabad is a 9 day tour plan that allows you explore the four sacred locations in the Indian Himalayas as part of the renowned Hindu pilgrimage route. There would be transfer and day excursions to the reversed shrines of Badrinath, Kedaarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri after some extended distance journeys. Hyderabad to Haridwar Transfer
The door-to-door transfer from Hyderabad to Haridwar is the initial leg of the tour. One would have to fly or take a train to a major city like Delhi and then take another train or drive up to Haridwar, the gateway to the Chardham. As preparations for the impending trip in the mountains begin, the day is spent primarily traveling and checking into accommodation in Haridwar or a nearby base.
Day 1: Haridwar to Barkot
Travellers will embark on a road trip from Haridwar to Barkot on the first day of the mountain trip. Near the Yamunotri temple, Barkot is the devotees initial major base camp. The day concludes with arrival after checking in, rest and acclimatization to the change in environment and altitude. The tour is long yet scenic.
Day 2: Yamunotri Day Trip
Yamunotri is a starting point of the four dhams, worshipped on the second day. The tour begins with a vehicle ride from Barkot to the roadhead, Janki Chatti. Pilgrims then go around 6 kms on foot to the Yamunotri Temple, the origin of the Yamuna River. The trek and ride back to the accommodation at Barkot are completed after a prayer session and bath in the Surya Kund.
Day 3: Uttarkashi Transfer
On the next day, take a drive along from Barkot to Uttarkashi. The North Kashi, Uttarkashi is a base town to Gangotri, the following pilgrimage point. Afterward settle into their hotel, devotees can stay overnight at nearby, famous Vishwaanath Temple.
Day 4: Gangotri Day Trip
A visit to Gangotri is the origin of the holy Ganga River is the main highlight of this day. The team goes to Gangotri by road from Uttarkashi. During the journey, devotees get to appreciate the beautiful Harsil Valley, perform Pooja at the Gangotri Temple and take a holy dip in the river. The team takes back to Uttarkashi by road for the evening after darshan.
Day 5: Guptkashi Transfer
Another long day of travel from Uttarkashi to Guptkashi on next day. Guptkashi is the starting point of Kedarnath, a destination after a long road journey that often passes key confluences like Rudraprayag. Once you reach here, the group acclimatizes and prepares for the challenging trip to Kedarnath the following day.
Day 6: Kedarnath Day Trip
Embark on a day trek to Kedarnath, the toughest of the Dhams and dedicated to Lord Shiva. The tour begins with a ride to Sonprayag, then to Gaurikund officially the starting point to trek, often accessible by local shared jeeps. Kedarnath temple is a long and challenging trek from Gaurikund. The party begins the ride back to Guptkashi following Darshan and worship, often makes it a very long and hectic day.
Day 7: Badrinath Transfer
Proceed to Badrinath, the last of the four dhams and a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. From Guptkashi, it’s a long drive past locations like Joshimath. After reaching Badrinath, the group settles in, bathes in the sacred Tapt Kund and attend the Badrinath Temple’s evening Darshan and Aarti.
Day 8: Rudraprayag Transfer
The tour initiates the drive down the mountains to Rudraprayag overnight after morning rituals, darshan and perhaps some local sightseeing around Badrinath. The main town of Rudraprayag is where the Mandakani and Alaknanda rivers meet.
Day 9: Hyderabad Departure from Haridwar
The tour from Rudraprayag to Haridwar is a part of this final day. The day descend from the hills down into the plains, completes the last leg of the Chardham route. The tiresome yet spiritually enriching 9 day Chardham yatra concludes where the pilgrims arrive in Haridwar, complete any formalities required and make their way to the railway station or airport for their onward trip to Hyderabad.
