Day 1: Dehradun Arrival

After arrival at Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, the devotees are taken to a luxurious hotel. The day is utilized for the mandatory pre-flight briefing. This includes the itinerary, altitude management and mountain flying procedures that will be followed during the traveller’s sojourn. The individual committed pilots and ground staff are also introduced to the group at this stage. The evening is used for relaxation and preparation for the grueling flying schedule ahead. The main purpose is to ensure organization, safety, and acclimatization prior to the commencement of the hard flights.

Day 2: Dehdradun to Yamunotri Transfer

Early morning transfer to helipad in Dehradun. The flight then takes the aircraft to the allocated helipad near Yamunotri, usually is Kharsali or a similar staging area. A helicopter trip from the helipad involves a quick walk or a Palki/Pony ride to the Yamunotri Temple, the dwelling place of Goddess Yamuna. A reason behind this is that the temple is located within the narrow gorge. The devotees have darshan and take a dip in Surya Kund, a hot spring. Every step of the procedure is carefully timed, from the flight to the staging area to the quick transfer and the last walk. The overnight resort is usually near the Yamunotri area or a similar location with first-class amenities suitable for the standard of the tour.

Day 3: Yamunotri to Gangotri Transfer

The chopper takes off from the Yamuna Valley and flies into the Bhagirathi Valley after a short morning Darshan or visit to the nearby Shani Temple. The group gets a flight directly to a helipad close to Gangotri, either at Harsil or nearby. The group can drive or walk a short distance to reach the temple. The legend says that Goddess Ganga has fallen to Earth at Gangotri Temple. At the Bhagirathi River here, Darshan is often accompanied by a holy bath. The shrine is encompassed by the most magnificent views of the snow-capped Alps. The night halt is normally at the quiet and beautiful area of Harsil, well-known for its peace and natural beauty.

Day 4: Gangotri to Sersi via Kedarnath

The helicopter takes off the Harsil/Uttarakhand via a special helipad close to the temple and heads directly toward the Kedarnath area. Sersi is often the base camp that night for the tour. The most important part of the day is Kedarnath darshan. The main helipad in Kedarnath is where the helicopter lands. Priority darshan at the holy Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva does provides VIP access quite often. The pilot usually allows 1.5 to 2 hours for Darshan and other ceremonies, including the short halt.

From there take a flight to Sersi or a nearby luxury lodge for the night stay. This is how one can reach the Badrinath in time the next day. The goal is to do the most difficult Darshan in the shortest time, to stay at the temple for the maximum time to reduce exposure to the high-altitude atmosphere.

Day 5: Badrinath Transfer

Last and most important flight journey of the circuit. The helicopter flies straight from Sersi to the Badrinath helipad, usually either near Joshimath or a dedicated Badrinath helipad. Before exploring the Badrinath Temple, devotees take a ritual was at the Tapt Kund, a holy hot spring, after the last brief conveyance. Maha abhishek or special darshan services are often included in this tour. The group could visit Mana village, the last Indian village on the border, its mythological site like Vyas Gufa. The trek is often spent closer to Badrinath at a luxurious, very guarded home in Joshimath area.

Day 6: Departure

The last helicopter journey leaves Badrinath and returns straight to Dehradun, the starting site, Jolly Grand Airport. The devotees ends when they reach the airport and offered with further assistance towards reaching their destination. The rapid, safe, and comfortable return marks the successful end of the arduous but spiritually rewarding aerial Yatra.
