Journey from Delhi to Manali
From Delhi, the trip begins with an overnight journey by private car rental or bus to Manali. By the evening, you’ll depart from the city and begin a stunning dive into the highlands. During this overnight drive, you can wake up to the crisp mountain air and stunning views of Manali, preparing you to begin your adventure ride.
Day 1: Manali Arrival
Early morning, as soon as you reach Manali, you will be escorted to the pre-booked hotel to relax and refresh. Gear up to explore the local flavours of this picturesque hill station of Himachal Pradesh. Embark on a tour of the Hadimba Devi Temple, a unique wooden temple with surrounding deodar forests, likely to be on your sightseeing plan. You can also visit the Vashisht Temple and its famous healing hot springs. A stroll along the chaotic Mall road and the vivid alleys of Old Manali, where you can shop for souvenirs and immerse in the local atmosphere as an evening activity.
Day 2: Manali Sightseeing
The focus on the second day is on adventures and exploration of Manali’s natural wonders. The highlight of this day is specifically on the beautiful Solang Valley, a favourite among adventurers. You can indulge in adventures like paragliding, zorbing and season-specific activities like skiing, snowboarding. Set out for a trip to the Atal Tunnel, a marvel of modern engineering that connects Manali with the Lahaul-Spiti Valley and significantly reduces travel time to the higher regions. The day is fully packed with thrilling experiences and sweeping views of snow-white mountains.
Day 3: Jispa Transfer
Your journey to the Lahaul Valley’s remote and stunningly beautiful landscape begins today. You will leave your hotel in Manali after breakfast and begin the scenic trip to Jispa. The road journey provides a smooth and scenic introduction to the Lahaul Spiti Valley as it crosses under the Atal Tunnel. Drive past by the picturesque village of Sissu and take a halt for sometime. Admire the stunning views of the Chandra and Bhaga rivers, high passes and a pristine, untouched landscape; the journey itself is an experience. After reaching Jispa’s campsite, spend the night there under starry skies.
Day 4: Sissu Waterfall Trek
After a filling, wholesome breakfast and overnight camping in Jispa, you will set off on your return trip to Manali. You’ll make a halt at the village of Sissu along the way before beginning the trek to the waterfall. This is a fairly easy trip that is suitable for beginners and gives you a chance to see up close the rich vegetation of the region. The waterfall cascades down from the glaciers above, is a sight to behold. You will then proceed on your way back to Manali, after the trek and spend some time around. Enjoy your final night in the mountains by planning activities with your group, like camping, stargazing, etc.
Day 5: Departure from Delhi
On your final day of the tour in Manali, you’ll start with a leisurely breakfast. Based on the itinerary, you may have some spare time to stop last-minute or simply enjoy looking at the mountains. You’ll be leaving your accommodation in the afternoon or late evening and board a bus or take a drive back to Delhi.
